Fossil wood formed long ago when fallen tress were knocked down in strong tropical storms. The flooded rivers covered the ancient woods in layers of mud. Eventually some volcanic eruptions covered it with molten lava. Eventually the wood transformed into solid stone. The petrification took place when the wood absorbed the silica minerals from the groundwater. The minerals turned to agate and replaced the wood as the trees fossilized. The minerals preserved the grains of the woods as it turned to fossil.
There are various Petrified Wood accessories that our company manufactures and the items that we make from it is almost endless. All of our furnishings are one of a kind and is a lovely work of art. All our pieces are handcrafted by a skilled bespoke artisan.
